Handmade Ornament Tradition

For the last few years, I have helped the girls make special handmade ornaments for the Christmas tree.  Last year, it was salt dough trees and the year before it was handprints.

This year, I decided to go with globe ornaments after snagging a pack of 6 on sale for 70% off.  The girls then picked their paint colour and decorations of choice.  Because I already had the paint, markers, stickers and jewels on-hand, I paid less than $0.40/ornament.  Not bad for a personalize decoration that will make me smile from years to come 🙂

Each of the girls made several of these ornaments so we could also give them as gifts to the daycare workers.

Can you believe Christmas is 2 days away?!?  Are you ready?
