Mason Jar Soap Dispenser

My last few posts have been holiday-related but I wanted to take a break to share an inexpensive DIY made using a dollar store mason jar.  Although, this would make a great handmade Christmas gift!

In addition to the mason jar, I also used an old foaming soap pump, contact cement and some tools (hammer, pointy screwdriver thingy [technical term, I’m sure], wire cutters and pliers).

My first step was to pierce a hole in the top of the mason jar.

Next I used the wire cutters and pliers to make the hole large enough to fit the soap pump.

The underside isn’t pretty but no one will be looking so it didn’t really matter to me 🙂

I used the contact cement to glue the pump to the top of the mason jar.

Now I have the perfect dispenser for my homemade foaming hand soap!
