DIY Silhouette Artwork

For months and months and months I’ve been talking about setting up a gallery wall in the dining room.  Today I took the first step by DIY-ing some  silhouette artwork of the girls.

This was a super easy project and didn’t take more than 20 minutes.  Also, because I was repurposing picture frames I already had, the project didn’t cost a thing!

Here’s how I did it.

Step 1: Gather your supplies

You’ll need a side profile picture print out, black paper (or whatever other colour or pattern you would like to use), scissors and a pencil (don’t tell L I used her Frozen pencil, lol).

Step 2: Cut around your image

Step 3: Trace your image from your cut out to your decorative paper

I wanted the images to be facing opposite ways once in frames which is why I traced the pictures differently.

Step 4: Cut out your new image

And there you have it!

Here was the space before:

And here it is now:

I’m excited to continue to build this feature wall!
