DIY Playroom Artwork: Laugh, Discover, Imagine, Play, Dream & Create

Since doing our basement reno last November, I have slowly been plugging away at designing the space and making it ours.  The caveat is that I’m trying to do so on the cheap and this often means DIY.

My latest DIY project is for the playroom area.  I wanted to create some artwork that would look nice but also inspire the girls.  I decided on word art using the following words: laugh, discover, imagine, play, dream and create.

I made the artwork using Microsoft word and some good, old-fashioned scrapbook paper, scissors and glue.

I also used dollar store wood frames that I spray painted silver to match with the basement colour scheme.

I love how these turned out and since I already had the scrapbook paper and silver spray paint on-hand, the project cost $6 for the frames.
