12 Days of Christmas: On the Ninth Day of Christmas…

On the ninth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…

A 9 piece Christmas felt tree
8 paper snowflakes
7 words for artwork
6 hand-made ornaments
5 gifts for L
4 festive letters
3 photo shoots
A 2 piece no-sew blanket
And a new spot for our Christmas tree

Since moving our Christmas tree downstairs, our dining room has been feeling a little empty.  I festi-fied it a little bit with a felt Christmas tree!

DIY Chrismas tree and decorations made from dollar store felt

This was easy, inexpensive (with the felt 3/$1 at the local dollar store) and adding the “decorations” kept the girls busy enough tonight for me to actually make dinner 🙂

Step 1: Gather your materials

Felt, scissors and a glue gun

Step 2: Line up your felt and outline your tree

You can use chalk or a white crayon

Step 3: Cut out your tree shape

Step 4: Glue together the tree

You could also use duct tape along the back seams

Step 5: Make your ornaments

I just free-handed – no pattern necessary!

Step 6: Hang and enjoy!
