Vacation Day 6: The Zoo

So I’m not doing a very good job at writing a post for every day I am on vacation.  6 days in and I’ve already missed 2 posts.  I have a good excuse for last night though!  It was about 7:20 and I was finishing up a movie with L and planning out my blog post in my head when I get a text.  It was a friend letting me know that she was waiting for me inside the restaurant.  Gah!  I totally forgot I was supposed to go for dinner at 7:00!  Thankfully the restaurant wasn’t too far so I was able to get there quickly but I still felt awful!  Especially when I had already eaten dinner and my friend had to eat alone.  Sorry, Sandra!

By the time I got home, finished up the laundry I had put on earlier in the evening (thinking I would be around all night!) and got ready for bed, it was almost 10:30 and I had cheesecake belly and was ready for bed!

Now for the day 6 update!  We decided to keep the girls home from daycare to give them each a special day…  E got to hang out with the grandparents while we took L to the zoo to celebrate her birthday.  For anyone not familiar with the Toronto Zoo, it is one of the largest zoos in the world with over 5,000 animals representing over 500 species.

My sister-in-law also joined us with her gorgeous 5 month old, baby L.

Despite a bit of rain, it was a great day with only a few minor meltdowns (both mine and L’s, lol)

Tomorrow M and I have a super fun day planned for just the 2 of us.  Be sure to check back to see what we did!

    • She definitely had fun but it was a long day with lots of walking. She’s at a good age though where we don’t need to be as worried about eating or sleeping times.
